About the Role

Reporting to the Laboratory Coordinator, the successful candidate will perform laboratory duties as directed. No previous Laboratory experience is required as training is provided.

Responsibilities include:

• perform shift analysis duties under supervision;
• prepare samples for analysis daily which include registration, splitting, crushing, pulverising and sizing in accordance with procedures.
• perform AAS and XRF analysis as per procedures;
• dhere to laboratory procedures;
• perform general housekeeping duties; and
• perform any other tasks as directed by the Laboratory Management Team.

About the Candidate

• must be able to work and communicate effectively within a shift team;
• must be able to work on a shift roster 7 days on 7 days off, 7 nights on 7 nights off 12 hour shifts;
• strong adherence to safe work practices and actively participate in workplace safety;
• the ideal candidate will already hold or be prepared to commence Cert III in Laboratory Skills; and
• good mathematical comprehension and computer literacy.
