The Role

As a Kitchen Steward, you will support our kitchen brigade in maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout all kitchen areas.

This role will be responsible for contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen operations ensuring a high standard of hygiene and food safety.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

Your keen interest in cleaning and organising workplace/ kitchen
Good understanding of cleaning and manual handling
Good understanding of Work Health and Safety
Experience in a similar role within a dynamic environment
The ability to thrive in a changing and high paced environment
A positive attitude and good communication skills
An understanding of food safety standards
The ability to work in collaboration in a team environment and also independently
Availability to work on rotating roster across all days of the week with morning and afternoon shifts

Your Skills and Experience

The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

You will also demonstrate:

Essential

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Desirable:

Experience in food preparation in the health care industry
Food hygiene Certificate preferred, but training can be provided
Excellent time management skills.

Remuneration: On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $ – $ casual loading superannuation based on qualifications and experience, exclusive of penalties and allowances.
