Norton Gold Fields, a renowned name in the gold mining industry, is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead the engineering and technical aspects of our ambitious mining initiatives. This role is instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of projects through meticulous planning, quality control, and stakeholder collaboration.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Technical Services Manager, you will oversee the technical facets of Nortons mining operations, ensuring projects meet high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will drive innovation and operational excellence across all stages of mining operations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Unrestricted Quarry Manager or First Class Manager (Desirable)
  • Current unencumbered C Western Australian Drivers Licence
  • Sound understanding of contractual law
  • New mining Acts and regulations training received

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within Mining Technical Services or Operations;
  • Experience working within multifunctional teams across engineering disciplines;
  • Sound experience in mining engineering;
  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills;
  • The ability to communicate status, risks, plans and provide realistic assessments of what is required to stakeholders clearly and transparently;
  • Ability to earn respect through fair treatment of people, clear task assignment, coaching, feedback and management;
  • Good understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations;
  • Good understanding of all relevant State and Federal legislation relevant to Mining Operations in Western Australia;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including liaising with stakeholders and report writing;
  • Ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of issues.
  • Above average competency with demonstrated skills in spread sheet and presentation applications, word processing and database applications;
  • Competent with use of PRONTO (desirable)
