The Opportunity

In partnership with Shell’s QGC business, MIGAS is searching for the next generation of Trainees to join QGC’s onshore gas business in Queensland in a First Nations IT Traineeship.

We encourage First Nations people of the Western Downs region looking for long-term work to apply.

You will be given world-class, on-the-job training supported by experienced and committed IT Field Engineers. You will also work towards the completion of an ICT Certificate IV in Information Technology.

Job Details

Throughout this two-year traineeship you will become skilled in the installation, decommissioning and technical support of end user IT devices and networks and offer support both onsite and remotely to a variety of roles and regions.

You will also gain exposure in project style tasks, ticketing, knowledge based systems, asset management, and stocktaking.

About You

We are looking for First Nations candidates who are committed to completing a technically challenging IT Traineeship while operating in a physically demanding field environment with fantastic long-term career prospects.

Please include your Traditional Owner group in your cover letter to assist our recruitment team in identifying your application. Be mindful that to participate in the selection process you will also be required to travel to Chinchilla.

You will also be required to pass a pre-employment medical and police check.
