Mandalay Resources Costerfield Operation is 50km east of Bendigo. Bendigo is a vibrant city and home to approximately 120,000 residents. Bendigo has an impressive mining history and boasts a thriving arts and cultural precinct.

About The Role

The Information Technology (IT) Coordinator is responsible for managing the company’s internal IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and coordinating with external managed service providers (MSPs). This role involves strategic planning, project management, and ensuring the security and efficiency of the company’s IT environment. The IT Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting Mandalay Resources operations and growth. 

Key Responsibilities: 

IT Strategy and Planning: 

         Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company’s goals. 

         Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption to improve business operations. 

Vendor Management: 

         Manage relationships with external IT vendors and managed service providers. 

         Negotiate contracts and ensure the delivery of high-quality services. 

Infrastructure Management: 

         Oversee the maintenance and support of all IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and cloud infrastructure. 

         Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure. 

Cloud System Management: 

         Manage and optimize cloud-based systems and services. 

         Ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud solutions with existing IT infrastructure. 

Project Management: 

         Plan, execute, and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. 

         Coordinate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions. 

Security and Compliance: 

         Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures to protect company data. 

         Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. 

Support and Troubleshooting: 

         Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal IT systems. 

         Work with MSPs to resolve any IT issues promptly. 

Budget Management: 

         Develop and maintain the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. 

         Monitor and control expenditures to stay within budgetary constraints.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, cloud management, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Preferred experience in the mining or related industries.
