Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complimentary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards. The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services. We operate out of sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland, which are all GMP licensed by local regulators and are accredited to ISO .  In addition to the provision of world class analytical testing, the laboratories also provide consultative services to their clients made available by a team of highly qualified scientists.

The Inventory Management & Support Technician‘s primary responsibility is to support the management of laboratory consumables in both GMP and non GxP areas. Non-GMP operational support is also provided within the various laboratories on the client site when required.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Inventory control of Ariba orders including Lab Consumables, CCC and Standing Orders. Ensure accurate monitoring and reconciliation of inventory levels relating to these orders
  • Decartoning and re-stocking Laboratory Consumable Stores encompassing all consumables including Lab Specific and CCC items
  • Manage delivery dockets and Certificates of Analysis (COA), ensuring timely upload into the system and subsequent archival
  • Process Goods Receipt (GR) transactions for Ariba orders accurately and promptly
  • Conduct regular cycle counting and KANBAN stock takes for Lab Consumables (excluding Warehouse items). Perform accurate inventory counting to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist in SAP MIGO transactions related to the Movement of Goods for the CPA and CPS
  • Managing the creation and submission of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Provide assistance, based on business needs, to Lab Support Operations activities. Tasks may include but are not limited to Autoclave Gowns management, Weekly Autoclave Cycles, Desiccation of Gowns, Emptying of Bioreactors, and Daily Equipment Calibrations
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised, neat and tidy
  • Compliance with the client sites OHS / QA Systems and regulatory requirements
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of continuous improvement project activities
  • Other duties as required
  • Act in accordance with the Eurofins Code of Ethics, and all other relevant policies and procedures, as updated from time to time
  • All activities will be captured via electronic record systems that details the equipment and consumables (if applicable) used and adherence to specified method
  • Laboratory Skills TAFE certificate / Diploma in an appropriate scientific field preferred
  • Relevant exposure and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Proven experience in inventory control and management, preferably in a scientific or laboratory setting
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g. SAP & Ariba) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Flexible, adaptable to changing priorities
