Job Description
ELMO is embarking on an ambitious journey to revolutionize the user experience (UX) across its entire product suite. To lead this effort, we are assembling a dedicated Frontend team, offering a number of opportunities for talented individuals to join us on this adventure. This is a unique greenfield opportunity, inviting you to join us on a transformative initiative as we redefine the user experience in a domain often perceived as mundane.
Key Responsibilities:
The core responsibilities of the Intermediate Front-end Software Engineer include but are not limited to:
- Primarily working directly with product squads to accelerate their frontend development.
- Creating and improving components, foundations and patterns within ELMOs design system.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of ELMOs frontend framework.
- Create champion code examples and serve as a mentor to other engineers.
- Supporting and mentoring teammates to overcome obstacles, resolve blockers, and complete tasks.
- Developing in compliance with accessibility (a11y) standards and ELMOs inclusivity, privacy and security policies and procedures.
- Drafting and maintaining comprehensive documentation on technical patterns and guidelines to empower product squads.
- Collaborating with the Design team to create user centric designs.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Solid understanding of React. Experience with the Nextjs framework is desirable.
- Good understanding of frontend principles; User-Centric Design, Responsive Design, Accessibility, Performance Optimization, Scalability and Maintainability.
- Knowledge of Typescript and coding patterns.
- Experience utilising or developing Design Systems is desirable.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
