About the role:
As an Infrastructure Electrical Engineer, youll make an impact by supporting the planning and delivery of electrical projects within the annual Capital Works Programme.
You’ll apply strong project management skills to oversee projects from design through to commissioning, collaborating with other Project Managers to ensure effective execution.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control systems, and telemetry. You’ll focus on optimising equipment and operational procedures while managing project assessments, planning, programming, and influencing the CAPEX budget.

To be successful, youll need experience in:
- Project management and practical experience in planning, scheduling and financial management of projects
- Electrical engineering design, process design, installation, operations and service delivery, ideally in the water and wastewater industry
- Integrating SCADA, Telemetry and PLC programming during projects
- Managing the fault finding and rectification of breakdowns in critical electrical and operational technology systems to ensure minimal impacts to operational activities during project delivery.
Along with:
- An ability to provide mentoring to professional and trade staff within the Electrical area
- Highly developed organisational and problem-solving skills
- An ability to communicate engineering advice through multiple channels.
Qualifications & Licences:
- Tertiary qualifications (AQF Level 7 or above) in an Electrical Engineering or related field
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or ability to readily acquire
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
Whats nice to have:
- Industry recognised qualifications in PLC and Citect programming
- Experience in system documentation including CAD drafting
- Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) and/or certification as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
