About the opportunity

Westgold Resources are on the lookout for an experienced Hygiene Advisor to assist in the development, implementation, maintaining and monitoring of all Occupations Hygiene requirements for all operations.

This role will be offered on a permanent 8 days on, 6 days off roster and will provide assistance to all Westgold  Operations (Northern and Southern).

The role includes

  • Ensuring all statutory requirements for Occupational Hygiene (Dust, Fumes, Noise, Diesel Particulates, Biological, Heat Stress, Vibration) quotas, monitoring, testing, analysis and reporting are complied with for all operations
  • Monitoring and evaluation of data to contribute to compliance to the site Hygiene Management Plan
  • Assist in the development of Occupational Hygiene documents
  • Undertake control verification activities
  • Provide expert and practical advice on occupational hygiene controls to Westgold sites
  • Completing tasks as allocated and directed from the Hygiene Superintendent

 What do I need?

  • Certificate 4 Surface Ventilation Officer (Required)
  • Noise Officer or Audiometric qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in Hygiene projects or related fields
  • Health Surveillance experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Degree of Science Occupational Hygiene Practices (Desirable but not required)
  • Experience with the mining sector working in the Health and Safey field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • C Class Drivers License
  • National Police Clearance 12 month validity
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
