The Opportunity
Partnered with our client Davies Climate Control, we are looking for 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Refrigeration Mechanic Apprentices or experienced trade assistants looking to get their hands on the tools.
This position is full-time and based in Mansfield.

Davies Climate Control is a privately owned Mechanical Services company with a reputation for excellence. They supply and install Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems catering primarily to the commercial and industrial sectors.

You will be mentored by industry professionals.
Your duties will include:
- Working alongside tradespeople on construction sites installing air conditioners, ventilation fans, refrigerant and condensate pipework
- Reading plans and technical drawings
- Measuring & cutting steel struts and rods for hanging AC units, pipework, installing sheet metal duct and ventilation fans
- Running out, suspending and joining flexible ductwork
- Using hand and battery tools and equipment
- Attaining experience with mechanical HVAC systems
- General site organisation, moving of equipment and site cleanup
About You
The successful candidate will either be a current Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Apprentice or have relevant work experience or trade college background.
You must have excellent communication skills, and be ready and willing to undertake physical work in an indoor and outdoor setting. You will be willing to travel, work in the hot sun, and not afraid of working at heights.
In addition to these qualities, you will:
- Have completed a minimum of year 10 with good results in English and Mathematics
- Have a driver’s licence
- Have a construction White Card (or be willing to get one)
- Be safety-minded
- Be well presented
- Have excellent listening skills and able to follow instructions
- Be reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Desire and willingness to learn the trade
- Have the ability to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
