HSQE Coordinator

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a proactive HSQE Coordinator to join our team from Brisbane, helping us to maintain our rigorous safety, quality and environmental standards. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a role that ensures our workplace is safe, compliant and continually improving. 

As the HSQE Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to Civeos HSQE Management and on-site HSQE Advisory teams. This will include the development and review of system documentation, systems support training, statistical analysis, reporting and other general support required.  

This is an exciting 12 month fixed term contract in a growing organisation which includes travel on-site to our villages where required.  

Key responsibilities   

  • Provide a high level of administrative support to HSQE managers and assist the HSQE Advisors in managing safety administrative tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Support the implementation of any new HSQE system, process or initiative being implemented into the business
  • Complete required weekly and monthly reporting and statistical analysis from safety performance
  • Support relevant safety workflows and processes
  • Support HSQE Managers in maintaining their teams rosters
  • Assist with compiling and analysing reports where required

Skills and experience  

  • Enrolled / working towards or a Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (or Environment) preferred
  • Experience working with management systems, processes and procedures is preferred
  • Knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance
  • Well developed in writing, editing and formatting skills
  • Resilience and ability to work to deadlines
  • Administration, Team Coordination, or Executive Assistant experience in a hospitality focused business or remote work area is desirable

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Professional Qualifications

  • Tertiary/T.A.F.E. Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or Education in the following disciplines:
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent (desirable)
  • Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Work Health and Safety (desirable)
  • Current C Drivers Licence

Experience

  • Highly developed administration skills.
  • Excellent general computer skills. i.e. Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to relate effectively to management and staff at all levels.
