THE ROLE
This is a newly created role for a recently qualified/certified HSEQ Advisor to join our growing WA defence projects team. You will primarily be responsible for supporting HSEQ compliance, assisting with administration of management plans and procedures on one of our major Defence refurbishment projects. This role is based initially at RAAF base Richmond, delivering across multiple construction projects at the base.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As well as field work inspections and assisting in setting up sites, your responsibilities include:
- Ongoing construction site safety management
- Reviewing and updating Duratec and/or subcontractor safety documentation
- Tracking safety awareness
- Assisting the project team in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation
- Incident and hazard reporting
- Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits, pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Recent completion of Cert IV in Work Health & Safety, or in final year of BSc (Health, Safety & Environment)
- Be a strong team player with the ability to multitask and work to strict deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Knowledge of current legislation and compliance
- Strong time management skills
- Competency in Microsoft Suite
- Current Drivers Licence, as will be required to travel to site
