About Our Client
Our client is a global leader in the mining and metals industry, delivering world-class solutions and engineering excellence across a wide portfolio of operations. With a strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced Advisor HME Specifications to support their Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Engineering Team.
About the Role
This is a 12-month opportunity for an experienced Advisor to play a critical role in standardising and managing HME fleet specifications. Reporting to the Principal Maintenance Planning and Engineering, you will support the development, review, and compliance of fleet purchasing specifications, ensuring Rio Tinto mobile equipment is operationally ready at deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Standardisation & Compliance
- Develop and manage HME fleet purchasing specifications in collaboration with internal teams and SMEs
- Ensure documentation aligns with corporate standards and safety regulations (e.g., DEMIRS)
- Maintain version control, accuracy, and accessibility of critical documents
- Technical & Document Support
- Support updates of specifications and risk assessments to meet WHS, ISO, and Australian Standards
- Oversee workflows and approvals through IMS and maintain records in IOWAs document library
- Collaboration & Communication
- Liaise with suppliers and key stakeholders to clarify and deliver specification requirements
- Create and maintain templates and other department documents for consistency and compliance
- Process Management
- Coordinate review schedules and manage work plans for the Fleet Specifications team
- Drive formal change control processes to implement updates effectively
Skills and Experience Required
- A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- High-level attention to detail and information management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Exceptional planning, time management, and document control skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro (preferred)
