Your new role

As a Health & Safety Advisor, youll ensure workplace safety standards, develop risk assessments, conduct incident investigations, and deliver training programs for a mine in NSW. Your role will be vital in supporting open-cut mining, underground operations, and ore processing.
Key responsibilities include:
– Monitoring and maintaining compliance with safety regulations, policies, and best practices.
– Conducting risk assessments and ensuring proper incident investigations.
– Leading audits, inspections, and verification processes to uphold safety standards.
– Supporting return-to-work programs and employee rehabilitation efforts.
– Delivering effective training programs, ensuring employees are well-equipped for safe operations.
– Providing expert guidance to management on health and safety initiatives.
– Helping to maintain a strong safety culture.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Diploma or higher in Workplace Health & Safety.
  • 5 years of WH&S experience in mining or heavy industries.
  • Strong background in risk management, audits, and incident investigations (ICAM).
  • Familiarity with safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & INX for reporting.
