Graduate Process Engineer

About the Opportunity

Real Work with Real Outcomes – You will find yourself working on-site and alongside leading professionals in their field, on a 2yr Fixed Term Contract (with the option to commence earlier on a part-time basis). During the program, you will participate in and attend development workshops to build your technical and soft skills. These include Lean Six Sigma (Manufacturing), Problem-solving and Decision Making, and Leadership Development.

Not your standard Graduate Role

As a Graduate Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:
 

  • Get immersed into the process at the coalface, apply the scientific principles and discover improvement opportunities.

  • Work in collaboration with plant operations, maintenance, and technical teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.

  • Develop and maintain process control systems and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient production.

  • Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective actions for process deviations.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of new processes and equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards and environmental regulations, including waste management and pollution control measures, to minimise the environmental impact of processes.

About You

We look for an adaptable individual who thrives in challenging environments and wants to be involved in real projects, work as part of a team, and make a real contribution to the business.
 

To be eligible, you will have:

  • Full working rights in Australia and currently reside in Newcastle, NSW

  • A degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Mechatronic Engineering (or be in the process of completing your degree) at an Australian or New Zealand University.

  • In your final year of study or have graduated in the last 2 years
