Gantry Crane Operator

We’re currently seeking an experienced Gantry Crane Operator to join a well-established warehouse distribution operation based in East Tāmaki. This is a busy, hands-on role suited to someone who’s confident operating cranes, values safety, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

You’ll be working the afternoon shift, supporting daily distribution and logistics operations by safely moving and positioning heavy materials within the warehouse.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating gantry cranes safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment
• Lifting, loading, unloading, and positioning stock and materials
• Supporting inbound and outbound distribution activities
• Carrying out pre-start checks and reporting faults or hazards
• Working closely with supervisors and warehouse staff to meet daily targets
• Following all site health & safety procedures and best practices

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience operating gantry cranes
• Current gantry crane ticket (preferred)
• Strong understanding of health & safety in a warehouse or distribution setting
• Forklift experince and licence is advantegeous
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Pass a pre-employment drug test & Ministry of Justice check
• Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of hands-on work
