What’s on offer?
We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Surfacing Foreperson to help us deliver various surfacing projects across the Mackay region. Located in Mackay, you will serve as a motivating leader who supports and empowers asphalt crews while emphasising safety, quality, cost, and schedule during the planning and execution of work.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to developing and implementing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and leading pre-start meetings to address all site requirements. Additionally, you will assist with scheduling, forecasting, procurement, and managing materials, equipment, personnel, and subcontractors.
We are seeking:
- Proven technical knowledge and track record of delivering profitability on asphalt and seal-related civil construction projects within a safe working environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines.
- The ability to positively influence and lead a team.
- A proven commitment to site safety.
- Computer literacy with demonstrated ability to complete reports in a timely manner.
- Short-term stays and working away from home within the Mackay Whitsunday District will be required.
