Food production Machine Operators – $30.12 – $37 p/hr – Smeaton Grange

Fuse Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Food Production Workers with Machine operating experience. (Vertical Form Film Seal) to work day, early morning and afternoon shifts with a leading Fresh food packaging company in Smeaton Grange. Monday to Saturday roles and temp to perm after 6 months.

The Role: Food Production Worker / Machine Operators

These positions will see you working at the end of the production line and operating the Vertical form sealing machinery. These machines are used to seal packaged bags of fresh salad products sold in grocery stores and supermarkets Nationwide.

Working in fresh produce you will be operating machinery in a 2-degree temperature controlled environment with all PPE supplied onsite.

Your main duties will involve:

• Vertical Form seal machine operating Sealing of bagged fresh produce
• Count and record food items
• Perform duties on the packaging line by loading and adjusting items
• Label packaged food items appropriately
• Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift and clean the workspace at the worker station by following company cleanliness standards

These roles are 6 months temp to Perm assignments!

Shifts Available:

The shift pattern is working Monday to Saturday with Wednesday’s being your day off work. You must be available to work Saturdays in this role.

• Day Start times from 6am onwards
• Early morning Start times vary from 3am, 4am and 5am:
• Afternoon shift Start times vary from 2pm. 3pm and 4pm

The Candidates:

To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

• You must have previous experience in a food production role operating either Pouch sealing, horizontal sealing or Vertical form sealing Machinery
• You will be adaptable in being trained in operating different kinds of machinery
• Working in a temperature controlled cold environment
• Working in a production role on a fast-paced line.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a safe manner.
• Packaging of chilled and dry fresh produce products
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices to ensure the highest quality of products.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
