Job Description
The Role:
As Financial Controller, you will lead a team of four and provide crucial support to our Chief Financial Officer and the wider business. You will oversee all aspects of Miraits financial operations, playing a pivotal role in the companys financial management and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the financial operations in preparing budgets, forecasts, cash flows and financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and project performance, along with insightful analysis and commentary against budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure the business adapts its reporting to maintain transparency on key financial metrics and performance indicators.
- Manage all accounting functions, including Payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable, General Ledger and reconciliations.
- Manage all relevant tax keeping and reporting requirements such as income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, group tax.
- Serve as the primary liaison for auditors and bankers, coordinating and managing audit processes and maintaining strong relationships.
- Collaborate with the IT department as the lead advisor on financial system requirements.

- Engaging with our Japan-based parent company on financial performance and business matters.
- Leading financial aspects of Miraits digital transformation, particularly the ongoing development of the ERP platform.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Requirements
- Expert knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Advanced understanding of relevant IT systems and software such as Exonet and MS Office, advanced in the use of Excel.
- Knowledge of relevant statutory & taxation regulation and policies.
- Understanding of various economic, market and industry trends that may impact the business.
- CPA/CA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
