About the role 

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Transactions Officer to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.

This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.  

The Finance Transactions Officer is responsible for ensuring Finance Transactional processing and support functions are performed accurately, on time and in line with regulatory obligations, market rules, policies and procedures, performance targets and appropriate delegated authority. 

The Finance Transactions Officer is further responsible for delivering high standards of customer service across internal and external stakeholder groups, ensuring functional targets are achieved, whilst contributing to improvements across systems, processes and user knowledge.

About you

You will be a strong communicator with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people and handle all types of stakeholder and customer enquiries. Time management and organisational techniques will give you the ability to meet business targets, perform under pressure and manage a complex workload. As a high performer, you will bring to this role problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to apply judgement and use initiative.

You will also be required to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar diverse role in a large transactional volume-based service environment
  • Experience and a strong understanding of end-to-end accounts receivable functions as well as some understanding of billing and accounts payable business processes.
  • Experience administering internal controls including maintaining reconciliations and processing documents.

Required Qualifications 

  • Certificate III in Business or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications or demonstrated capability through past employment experience.
