We are currently accepting applications for a driven and experienced Finance Manager to join our Shimano Oceania Holdings team in Caringbah.
Reporting to both the Managing Director & Head of Finance & Administration, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of Shimano Australia Cycling, by producing accurate and organised financial accounts, perform management analysis, and positively meet financial aspects of the company whilst focusing on continual improvement.
Operational duties include but are not limited to;
- Preparation and management of the month-end, year-end accounting and reporting process including the review of monthly P&Ls.
- Partner with the Managing Director and Head of Finance to execute improved business performance at a strategic and practical level.
- Maintain the Data Integrity of the company as a whole & in doing so by using company ERP Ledger Systems’
- Overall responsibility for managing company statutory reporting and legislative controls.
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of company data reported.
- Provide MD/ management with monthly reporting package by a set recurring date/ & as or when requested.
- Co-ordinating annual audit.
- Review on an ongoing basis all internal controls & systems.
- Work with board members to streamline and improve internal accounting processes.
- Continuously monitor and improve financial & Company systems/ operations and processes to ensure optimal business efficiency and automation.
- Provide backup payroll processing as required
The successful applicant will possess:
- Degree qualifications in accounting or a related discipline
- Extensive business experience in Finance or Accounting
- Detailed knowledge of local statutory and accounting requirements (Various tax legislation, Australian Accounting Standards and Corporations law, etc.).
- Proven track record in financial reporting, GL, budgeting and cash flow management
- A strong communicator who can build rapport and lead a team effectively, whilst working confidently under pressure
- Membership with a professional accounting institution, either CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants in Australia preferred
- Advanced computer literacy particularly Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint
- Extensive experience within a wholesale or sporting goods industry will be highly regarded
- Previous experience using Pronto, Stravis and Grande is desirable
