About the Role
As the Finance Officer, you will manage financial processing for both the museums charity and trading entities. Key responsibilities include maintaining the purchase ledger, overseeing petty cash, and supporting month-end procedures to ensure smooth financial operations. Reporting to the Financial Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage supplier invoices, prepare payment runs, and resolve supplier queries.
- Ensure accurate tracking and approval of credit card and petty cash transactions.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Support the financial reporting process with month-end journals and reconciliations.
- Provide training on finance systems for new starters and assist with financial controls.
What Were Looking For
- Currently studying towards AAT, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in financial processing, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong communication and numerical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of finance systems such as Access Dimensions and Focal Point (desirable).
- A collaborative approach and an interest in the world of design (desirable).
