Reporting to the Project Support Supervisor, the HD Fitter will have strong communication skills, with exceptional customer support at the forefront of their interactions. The role will also involve providing lead technical support on maintenance and warranty repairs. You will be working both autonomously and within a team. 

This permanent role will see you doing ALL of the above, as you will be the specialist for a Caterpillar mining fleet. To be successful in this role, you must have an understanding of warranty provisions, and be able to assist customers with component warranty and replacement requirements.

Location: Solomon

Roster: 7 days, 7 nights on, 7 days off – 12 hours per day

Ideally, the successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Australian recognised Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic qualification with additional post trade experience
  • HR-Licence
  • High level understanding of Caterpillar Warranty Provisions is essential
  • Experience and strong understanding on 793F trucks, 994H & K loaders, D11T dozers and C175 and series engines will make you successful in this role
  • Strong communication skills, to assist with building relationships with team members and customers
  • Sound diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
