The Opportunity:
We currently have a great opportunity available for an experienced Estimator for our Boral Asphalt team.
Based in Stonyfell SA , you will be responsible for maximising profit and financial performance through the effective and efficient management of the estimating process.
Key Duties:
- Professionally prepare quotes, offers, tenders and expressions of interest
- Manage contract risk through efficient and effective pre-tender reviews, contract reviews, project post audits and the application of appropriate training
- Work with key inhouse personnel to gain buy-in and benefit from their insights during the estimating process
- Develop and maintain long term, mutually beneficial relationships with key customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods
- Value add wherever possible to meet and/or exceed client expectations, improve profitability and improve market share, and
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
About You:
- Proven ability and experience in estimating / contract negotiation / contract administration / project management within the construction or civil construction industry
- Tertiary qualifications in either Civil Engineering or Project Management (preferable)
- A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills in an estimating program and Microsoft Office
- Sound presentation skills, and
- An attitude and commitment that will fit a highly motivated team environment.
