This is a fantastic opportunity for a risk professional looking to consolidate their skillset whilst working with a State Government owned corporation. The Manager is seeking someone with 2-4 years risk experience to provide mentoring and development.
This is a full-time permanent position, based in the Sydney CBD (near Millers Point/The Rocks) with hybrid working.
The Role
As the Enterprise Risk Analyst, you will report into the Senior Manager – Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). The ERM team is responsible for the design, development and operation of a fit-for-purpose Enterprise Risk Management Framework. This includes risk management policies, processes, procedures, structures, and systems that align with the organisations needs.
This role will partner with staff in different divisions to monitor the risk management practices across the organisation including driving the application of the ERM Framework and assisting the business with where they require clarification on how to apply the framework.
Key Accountabilities
- Support operational teams with regular reviews of their respective risks/risk ratings, controls and treatment plans, including emerging risks
- Encourage and facilitate effective use of risk management tools to ensure relevant risk information is appropriately identified, captured, assessed, monitored, and reported
- Partner with Operational teams, Audit, and SMEs, to deliver an integrated approach to risk and compliance
- Support the business with required risk inputs including annual declaration
- Prepare detailed reports on risk trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities and make recommendations to management for continuous improvement
- Create and maintain risk management information hubs, communications and training materials
- Ensure specific elements of the ERM framework are appropriately implemented including creating and delivering training
- Provide oversight and challenge in relation to risks and control design and management
- Support the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and respective dashboards, helping embed line 1 risk ownership
- Support the design and implementation of risk management systems to enhance the ERMF
About You
We are looking for a Risk professional with ideally 2-4 years of experience in transport, logistics, energy, resources, ports, cruise operations or a comparable hands-on industry. Ideally you will bring with you, demonstrated experience in:
- applying risk management principles.
- using a risk management platform.
- supporting the design, development, delivery or training of risk management frameworks including process design and procedures.
- challenging and influencing a multi-disciplined operation and its business owners.
