Isaac Regional Council is on a mission to energize the world and build thriving communities. We are excited to offer a permanent full-time Electrician position within our Water and Waste Directorate. This role is ideally based in Moranbah, but there is flexibility for the right candidate to be based in other strategic locations within the Isaac region.
About the Role:
The Water and Waste Directorate is dedicated to providing safe, quality water supply and reliable waste collection and treatment services across the Isaac Regional Council communities. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Technical maintenance and installation
  • Contract management of smaller maintenance projects
  • Programming support for Councils assets across various sites
  • Travel across the region, including St Lawrence, Nebo, Dysart, Middlemount, Clermont, Glenden, and Moranbah
  • Overnight accommodation and allowances provided as needed

Requirements:

  • Electrical Trade qualifications and relevant experience
  • Relevant licensing and trade certificate (Australian Standard)
  • General induction card
  • Ability to be immunized against Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioral testing
  • Current C Class Open Australian Driver License
  • EWP Ticket (desirable)
  • Valid Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (desirable)

  • Annual salary of $66, plus over-award payment and allowances, including:
  • $21,000 Over Award Payment

  • 76 hours per fortnight with flexible work pattern options
  • 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • Up to 14% superannuation in accordance with IRCs Certified Agreement
  • RDOs in accordance with IRCs Certified Agreement
