In this role, you’ll:
Oversee high-voltage protection systems to ensure the reliability and safety of the electrical network.
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team to achieve organisational goals.
Manage development, testing, and maintenance of electrical protection schemes and related systems.
Optimize protection settings to enhance network reliability and minimize operational risks.
Provide expert technical support and guidance to engineering and maintenance teams.
Advise internal and external stakeholders on electrical protection system design and commissioning.
Lead investigations, troubleshooting, and resolution of electrical protection system faults.
Supervise and mentor engineering teams to ensure high performance and professional development.
Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulations, and best practices in electrical protection.
Maintain accurate documentation, including system configurations, manuals, and technical diagrams.
Drive competency development through training, accreditation, and capability assessments.
Monitor and report on system performance, ensuring alignment with operational and safety standards.
Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing best practices, compliance, and continuous improvement.

About you
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical protection systems in distribution networks.
Expertise in protection design, relay settings, calibration, and system commissioning.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams and service delivery.
Proven ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders across disciplines.
Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with experience using maintenance management systems.
Valid NSW Class C drivers license with the ability to operate 4WD/UTE vehicles.
Work location at Granville with a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office per week.
