Summary
TalentWeb are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and delivery of data centre projects across New South Wales. This is a dynamic role that demands exceptional technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end electrical and/or mechanical project execution for data centres.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure project alignment.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Australian building codes, safety standards, and energy efficiency regulations.
- Oversee procurement and manage vendor relationships.
- Provide technical guidance on HVAC systems, power distribution, UPS systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Maintain project documentation, reporting on progress and milestones to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction, engineering, or data centre sectors.
- Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling systems, and backup power solutions.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 certification is a plus).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
- Familiarity with NSW construction standards and regulations.
