Downer remains at the forefront of our industry by employing the best people and having the courage to challenge the status quo. Heres your chance to join the Tauranga team where we take pride in taking on projects, big and small and delivering them to world-class standards – every time!

You will assist with a diverse range of construction, renewal, and maintenance projects across the Tauranga region. Working alongside our dedicated team you may operate machinery including pavers, rollers, sprayers, skidsteers  and trucks but will also use hand tools from time to time to get the job done. 

• You will transport, load and unload machinery to and from sites
• Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment
• Significant hours throughout the season on night shifts with a supportive team

Nga pkenga matua | Important Skills

Along with a positive attitude and your commitment to safe worksite practises, you will have a proven ability to ensure proper care, maintenance and operation of appropriate plant and equipment. You will also have:

• Class 1 – 5 Full New Zealand drivers licence
• Wheels, Tracks & Rollers (WTR)
• Experience in transporting, loading and unloading machinery
• Ability to work hands-on and unsupervised as well as within a team
• Experience operating in the civil construction industry (desirable)
