Drill & Blast Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Drill and Blast Engineer to join our team and support the EMTS operations. This is a key technical role responsible for delivering optimal blast outcomes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting safe and efficient operations across our mining projects.
You will be responsible for:

·       Delivering high-quality technical mining services for drill and blast activities.

·       Providing in-field support and training to operational teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.

·       Championing a culture of continuous improvement in drill and blast methodologies.

·       Ensuring compliance with statutory, legislative, and company safety requirements.

·       Offering technical support across regions regarding product application and best practices.

·       Collaborating with operations to enhance safety performance and operational outcomes.

·       Contributing to product development, testing, and evaluation processes.

·       Leading or assisting in investigations related to drilling and blasting performance, recommending actionable improvements.

·       Supporting the evolution and optimization of blasting methods and systems.

·       Participating in audits of systems and operational processes.

What you need
•  Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Civil, Chemical, or Geomechanical Engineering.

·       Strong numerical and analytical skills.

·       Demonstrated report writing and verbal communication capabilities.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant blasting software.

·       Proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.

·       Strong technical knowledge of drilling and blasting operations in mining.

•Current driver’s licence
• National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain).
• State-relevant Security Clearance for handling explosives (or willing to obtain).
