A global energy leader is seeking a highly skilled Downstream Pricing Analyst to join its Global Optimiser Development Department.

This department plays a vital role in maximising revenue and profitability through optimised crude allocation and integrated global manufacturing operations.

Role Overview


As a Downstream Pricing Analyst, youll be responsible for producing refined product, crude, freight, and chemical pricing forecasts used by strategic stakeholders across trading, planning, and downstream operations. Youll lead the development of pricing tools, manage transfer price implementation, and support contract alignment across affiliates.

Working cross-functionally with economists, traders, and planners, your insights will directly influence pricing strategies and revenue optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance pricing forecast tools and visualisations
  • Issue and monitor transfer prices, coordinating implementation with key stakeholders
  • Provide refined product, crude, freight, and chemical forecasts to inform planning and trading
  • Continuously assess pricing application and support JV contract negotiations
  • Ensure fair pricing practices across refineries and affiliated operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Statistics, Commerce, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or closely related subject.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA or economics specialisation preferred
  • 7 years experience, ideally in downstream oil & gas; 3 years in market or pricing analysis
  • Knowledge of refinery economics, transfer pricing, and global supply chain dynamics
  • Strong data analysis skills; familiarity with warehousing and mining tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams
