Your New Opportunity:

A full time, permanent opportunity exists for an energetic and customer focussed individual to coordinate and deliver Defence related project deliverables and services, including through life support activities across our National Branch Network. This role will be based in our Wacol location in Brisbane.

About you:

You will have a proven technical and/or logistics background either the marine, mining, defence or relevant equipment manufacturing/distribution industries. Wide technical and customer service experience with minimum 5 years is highly preferable. Customer relationship management and technical proficiency are highly regarded skills required to be successful in this role

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Project, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Heavy Vehicle, Mining, Defence or similar industry with service experience coordinating key customer accounts. A mechanical background is desirable;
  • Proven ability to coordinate and deliver services within a contracting environment.
  • High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and work autonomously in a multi-team environment.
  • Eligible for Baseline Defence Department Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required); dual citizenship may impact suitability due to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Understanding of Defence culture; ex-Army, Navy or Air Force personnel with technical, mechanical, logistics, or project coordination background are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to process and manage large documents within a contracting environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and servicing activities are undertaken, undertake administrative reporting requirements and ensure all processes and tasks are completed to meet contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with Defence customer maintenance administrators to support and deliver Defence repair order works utilizing the National Penske network.
  • Generate quotes for Adhoc services.
  • Ensure effective liaison between Defence customers and our internal operations for Parts requirements.
  • Be the point of contact for Defence customers to coordinate and resolve any required warranty issues.
  • Review and monitor progress for the provision of services in accordance with agreed completion dates / milestones and review and monitor quality and workmanship.
  • Coordinate closely with; Service, Sales and Parts Departments to meet Defence customer base demands for goods and services offered by Penske.
  • Coordination of work completion certifications and other specific information required by the CoA and other current and future Defence Customers.
  • Ability to undertake regular Interstate and some international travel will be required.
