Data Engineer

A fast-growing Australian consultancy is looking to expand its team and hire several Data Engineers. 

I am looking to speak with Data Engineers who have a strong understanding of core Data Engineering concepts and techniques, including ETL, DWH and Data Modelling and have a passion for solving unique problems. 


What you will be doing

• Undertaking detailed analysis of data held in various formats and identification of data fields required for models
• Data extraction and transformation ready for ingestion into customised models
• Implementing and supporting ETL
• Working with various business and technical teams to interpret data and resolve data issues
• Building and optimising SQL queries for various projects
• Identifying data quality issues and designing suitable remediation strategies

What you bring to the role

• Strong experience in DBT, Cloud Data services (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Snowflake.
• Experience in data profiling, data analysis, and data mapping
• Understanding of Data Engineering concepts, including ETL and DWH
• Extensive SQL knowledge and experience
• Passionate about continuous learning and development
• Strong understanding of solving business problems with data services
• Experience implementing and supporting ETL
