Due to internal progression, we are seeking a dynamic Customer Support Manager to join our Sales team. This role reports to the Mining Business Manager and is pivotal in the effective day-to-day Account Management and ensuring the execution of the Sales Mining Strategy.

As this is a site-based role, you are responsible for the overall ownership of the customer relationship and the execution of the aftermarket sales strategy. You will also play a critical role in capturing opportunities and managing them through to conclusion, whilst ensuring continued aftermarket sales growth. Additionally, the role involves ensuring the performance of assets to deliver the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) at a site level.

The ideal applicant will possess exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, sound business acumen and demonstrated influencing abilities. Our mining department is an integral link to our customers, and to achieve our vision of being the customers first choice in equipment solutions we are searching for passionate, high performing and motivated people.

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Roster: FIFO, 8/6 roster

What we require:

  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, engineering, or Trade Qualification with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Caterpillar product knowledge and/or experience in the heavy equipment industry is a plus.
  • Strong commercial acumen to navigate the complexities of our industry.
  • Familiarity with Heavy Mining Equipment Total Cost of Ownership modelling.
  • Highly developed communication, relationship development and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to thrive in collaborative and autonomous workplace settings.
  • Exceptional organisation skills to manage fluctuating workloads and deadlines to meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills and dedication to see tasks through to completion.
  • Excellent customer service skills to build and maintain strong and positive relationships.
