What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is searching for a Cross Dock Supervisor for their growing team based in Acacia Ridge QLD. As part of this role, you will monitor safety, service, performance and cost to ensure key customer KPIs are met within the Cross Dock Operation. You will manage a complex and fast moving operation to deliver outcomes within tight deadlines, whilst always keeping safety at the forefront. This role will be on day shift, working Monday to Friday starting at 7am (subject to operational needs). Key Areas: 

  • Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times
  • Ensure Cross Dock teams receive full and clear instructions surrounding the loading, transportation, and delivery of goods
  • Co-ordinating timely and accurate communication for supply chain requirements between subcontractor, customer, and Linfox operations
  • Assisting with various operational functions, where required including, but not limited to allocating, cross dock / subcontractor management and customer service
  • Assist in the development of relevant process and procedure and maintain ongoing reporting of operational and commercial metrics
  • Meeting agreed KPIs include service performance and ensuring that costs are with budget and contract expectations

  • Previous experience in interstate transport operations or a combination of road transport and related Industry knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a range of organizational levels, from senior management to drivers
  • Effective time management skills with a strong ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Ability to engage and maintain solid customer relationships through regular communication
  • An organised and systematic approach to work, and high-level attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle regulations & Load Restraint
