The Role

As a Counsellor you will

  • Deliver culturally responsive counselling and treatment for Men in the local community
  • Support clients experiencing trauma, grief, family violence, and substance abuse.
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans and integrate specialist outreach services.
  • Build strong networks with community stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, or related discipline.
  • Current AHPRA registration or equivalent practicing certificate.
  • Understanding of Aboriginal cultures, values, and protocols with experience in culturally responsive care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel to remote communities and engage in community outreach.
