About the role

This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill sets as a Coordinator of Supports/Recovery Coach. Supporting participants with NDIS funding is at the core of this varied role that will be underpinned by your strong ability to build and maintain strong relationships.  The Coordinator of Supports/Recovery Coach will be required to undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • Coordinating supports for NDIS participants to help them achieve their goals and live their best life.
  • Monitor and review NDIS participants support and progress.
  • Coach participants through individual recovery plan development and assist participants to build skills for self-direction and take control of their own lives
  • Provide and facilitate referral pathways as required
  • Utilise your strong communication skills to build and manage strong relationships with other local service providers.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Selection Criteria

  • A minimum of Cert 4 in Community Services or higher qualification (Mental Health, Health, Disabilities or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting NDIS participants
  • Valid drivers licence and insured motor vehicle
  • Ability to work closely and build rapport with key community members and participants
  • First Aid Certificate (to be obtained and maintained at your own expense)
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC) issued within the last 12 months that includes working with vulnerable groups (to be maintained and obtained at your own expense)
  • A valid NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) to be obtained and maintained at your own expense
