About the role
We are seeking applications for a Coordinator (hub operations)to join our Dandenong team. If successful, you will provide day to day coordination and educational leadership to a team of Hub based teachers, trainers and administrative staff in the delivery of high quality, engaging, relevant and contract compliant place-based education programs to AMES Australias culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) adult learners.
To be considered for these positions, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- A Diploma in Community Services (Case Management) or a relevant qualification with units related to case management or working with vulnerable people
- A Teaching Degree that includes an appropriate TESOL methodology and some teaching experience
- Current Certificate IV in TAE
- Demonstrated skills in overseeing and coordinating day to day operations in education or related social services
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of teachers and administrators in developing and delivering high quality adult education programs
- Proven ability to effectively coordinate, motivate and lead the performance of staff and implement changes to procedures to improve outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently plan, schedule and deliver education programs to CALD clients within budget constraints to meet KPIs
- High level understanding of government funded adult education programs and the ability to implement financially sustainable delivery
- Experience in leading teaching staff including timetabling, allocation of DOTTS and casual and emergency teaching
- Demonstrated proficiency in using various systems including STRATA, online (Moodle) training platforms and Business Intelligence tools
- Understanding of the education regulatory requirements in SEE, Skills First, AMEP and ACFE programs in regard to quality assurance, compliance, recording and reporting
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective mentoring, training and support for all teachers
- Practical understanding of the principles of language pedagogy, adult learning and the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners
