Join Service NSW as a Customer Service Operator in Newcastle! 14 roles, MonFri rotating roster, full training, $/hr super. NSW-based only.

• Rate: $ per hour Super
• Hours: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week (MondayFriday, 7am7pm rotating roster)

About the Role

As a Customer Concierge Operator, you will handle inbound enquiries across various channels, assisting NSW residents with a range of services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing accurate, timely and empathetic customer support
• Navigating multiple systems and using strong written and verbal communication
• Delivering service with professionalism and integrity

Roster:

• MondayFriday rotating shifts between 7am and 7pm
• Rostered on the same shift for 4 weeks before rotation
• Never work the same shift consecutively across two rosters

Work from Home (WFH):

• Training & nesting are 100% on-site
• Hybrid work is possible but conditional on performance, business needs, and internet capability
• On-site attendance required at least 2 days per month

About You We are looking for candidates with:

• 23 years’ customer service experience (call centre, admin or retail)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Teams)
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong email etiquette, typing and navigation skills
• Experience in a government or office environment (desirable)

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Must be based in NSW
• Must pass a High-Risk Police Check
• Two recent professional references required
• Must be able to attend an in-person Assessment Centre on Wednesday 11 June in Newcastle (approx. 90 minutes)
