Pastuso, one fifth of The San Telmo Restaurant Group, is our lively Peruvian inspired venue. Hidden down one of Melbourne most iconic laneways (AC/DC Lane) Pastuso brings the flavours of the Peruvian coast, jungle, and Andes to Melbourne. What does this role involve?
The main day to day duties include: cooking and prepping for busy services, working in a section (larder, pans, grill), training and developing junior staff, ordering, and contributing some menu ideas as well as duties relating to the general day to day running of a busy kitchen.
Who is our ideal candidate?
We are looking for chefs with a passion for food, who have purposefully chosen a career in the culinary arts. Experience and skills are advantageous, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Someone who is looking for long term progression and aspires to run our kitchen one day, and would like the flexibility of casual hours with the potential to go full-or-part-time in the future.
