With a strong reputation in equipment hire and underground services, were looking for a commercially sharp, strategic-thinking Commercial Manager to take the reins of a high-impact portfolio and lead it into its next phase of growth.

  

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial, Commercial and Shared Services Officer, youll oversee the commercial performance and customer delivery across our NSW and QLD operations, leading a team of experienced account managers and commercial specialists.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a national leadership role thats as much about customer value and operational delivery as it is about margin, risk, and strategic growth.

  

  

What Youll Be Doing

  • Develop and drive the commercial strategy for equipment hire and underground operations
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage risk exposure while protecting and enhancing commercial outcomes
  • Support capital investment decisions with robust business cases and financial modelling
  • Partner with maintenance, logistics and operational leaders to improve delivery efficiency and profitability
  • Build, manage and grow customer accounts ensuring we meet and exceed their expectations
  • Coach and lead a geographically dispersed team across NSW and QLD
  • Prepare executive-level reports, board submissions, and post-investment reviews

  

  

What Youll Bring

  • Extensive commercial leadership experience, ideally in equipment hire, mining services, logistics, or industrial sectors
  • Deep knowledge of contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and commercial risk management
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build trusted partnerships
  • Commercial nous backed by sound financial and legal acumen
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or Law (MBA, CA or CPA highly regarded)
  • A confident leadership presence, with the ability to influence across all levels
