NRW is one of the fastest-growing Civil and Mining contractors in Australia, employing skilled people across a diverse range of projects. We are actively recruiting for dedicated and experienced Perth based Commercial Manager to assist in the delivery of our Infrastructure project.

Initially this role will be Perth based on a 5/2 roster; however, there may be the potential for this position to lead into regional works in the future.

To be considered for this position as a Commercial Manager you must possess the following as a minimum:

  • Tertiary degree in Commerce, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • Relevant experience as a Commercial Manager or similar position in the Civil or Mining sector with main roads/infrastructure exposure
  • Substantial experience in financial cost reporting including cost control and forecasting of revenue and costs
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of contract terms and conditions
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

As a Commercial Manager on our project, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Producing project budgets and forecasts as required
  • Financial reporting for project and setting requirements for members of the project team
  • Managing other project staff in preparing cost report forecasts in their areas of responsibility
  • Liaising with client project team on contractual matters
  • Monitoring all cost expenditures and assisting Project Manager and other engineering staff in controlling costs in their areas of responsibilities
  • Assisting Project Manager with the implementation of company management systems
  • Preparing variation pricing as required on the project
  • Preparing claims for extension of time including delay and disruption costs
  • Managing procurement on the project including major subcontracts and supply agreements
  • Implementing NRW business systems for cost reporting, purchasing and procurement contract management etc. on the project
