Civil Supervisor
- 7/7 roster | 12-hour day shifts
- FIFO from Adelaide or DIDO from surrounding areas
- Key role leading a small civil team and delivering safe, efficient outcomes in a remote environment
About the Client
Our client is a civil construction company specializing in delivering remote infrastructure projects in challenging and hard-to-access environments. They are known for their ability to manage complex logistics and execute high-quality work while maintaining strong safety and environmental standards.
About the Position
Youll be working in a remote environment at Oak Dam, supervising a small team of civil operators and ensuring daily activities are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will involve leading from the field, conducting toolbox talks, coordinating with our client, and occasionally stepping in to operate machinery when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate a small team of civil operators in a remote site environment
- Lead daily pre-starts and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with safety, quality, and project requirements
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with our client and site stakeholders
- Monitor progress of works and provide updates/reporting as required
- Provide hands-on field leadership and support to the team
- Assist with operating civil equipment when required (non-routine)
- Identify and manage risks, hazards, and site issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with site procedures, standards, and relevant regulations
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Civil Supervisor or similar leadership role
- Strong background in mining and/or remote site operations
- Civil road construction experience (essential)
- Valid operator tickets and licences (e.g. HC, roller, grader or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and maintain a strong safety culture
- Experience conducting toolbox talks and daily pre-starts
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with our client and stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously in remote environments
- Previous experience in council or new subdivision civil works (advantageous)
