Job Description

Mergent Group is currently seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent ideally with a background in mining or civil works to join the team at Roxby Downs.
This role provides leadership and direction to division crews across both maintenance and construction projects. The Superintendent ensures that operations align with client policies and procedures while driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

About the role:

  • Location: Roxby Downs SA
  • Roster: FIFO (Ex-Adelaide), working 5/2 or 9/5
  • Accommodation: Camp accommodation and meals provided
  • Start Date: Immediate

Requirements:

  • Construction White Card
  • Proven experience in mining and/or civil construction environments
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Valid National Police Clearance
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence (relevant classes)
  • Confined Space Entry ticket
  • BHP Site Induction highly regarded

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to division Supervisors to drive and support the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct monthly reviews with Supervisors to monitor progress on KPIs.
  • Adapt to changing operational needs and demonstrate flexibility by working overtime or additional shifts when reasonably requested by management.
  • Proactively manage workgroup activities to ensure operational efficiency and profitability, including monitoring timekeeping and addressing any issues as needed.
  • Oversee the divisions monthly KPI performance track, review, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the yard and workshop areas.
  • Provide support for supervisors when giving disciplinary action within workgroup.
  • Manage recruitment process for division, Liaise with HSEC and Office manager to ensure process is followed.
