About Our Client
Our client is currently seeking a Leading Hand to join their team for a road upgrade project in North Maclean. After this project you will continue on with the company onto various civil projects and progress with the company.
What you will be doing
As a Leading Hand you will be required to work Monday to Friday, 9-10-hour shifts. You will be responsible for the following;
- Direct and supervise the day to day work operations and direct crews
- Ensure high standards for quality and safety maintained
- Coordinating construction work
- Allocating general and daily responsibilities
- Ensure professional standards and company objectives are maintained in relation to company reputations, service quality, OH&S and environmental standards. Requirements
Requirements/Experience
- Prior experience within the civil construction industry, ideally working across road upgrade projects or subdivision
- Good understanding and experience with curb, channel, drainage and road experience (highly desirable)
- The ability to read and interpret plans
- Strong safety knowledge and initiative
- Good leadership skills good leader and team player
- Be reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work with little supervision and be able to work as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills
- Current drivers license and Construction White Card
