CHPP Maintenance Planner

We are seeking an experienced CHPP Maintenance Planner to join our newest project at Meandu Mine near Kingaroy, Queensland.  This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability, availability, and operational performance while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a highly organised and detail-oriented maintenance professional with strong planning and scheduling expertise within a mining or CHPP environment.

This is a residential role operating on a 9 day fortnight roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule preventative, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability and availability.
  • Develop detailed work packs, including labour, materials, tools, permits, and contractor requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with Operations and Maintenance teams to minimise production impacts.
  • Manage maintenance work orders and backlog within the site maintenance management system (SAP).
  • Ensure parts, materials, and resources are available prior to planned work execution.
  • Support shutdown planning and execution to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, schedules, and KPI reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all planned work complies with site procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on asset performance, cost management, and operational efficiency.

Key capability requirements:

  • Relevant trade essential;
  • On-site experience in a similar Mobile Maintenance Planning role;
  • Highly skilled and experienced in the use of SAP;
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Project and other Microsoft Office suite of applications;
  • Knowledge and understanding of life cycle costing and budgeting principles;
  • Experience with maintenance of large hydraulic excavators, heavy mobile and ancillary equipment.
