- Iconic location National Gallery of Victoria – Garden Restaurant
- 5 days over 7, occasional weekends (work/life balance, mostly day shifts)

Restaurant Associates are a team of world class hospitality and fine-cuisine professionals, delivering contemporary food solutions and service across leading corporations and iconic venues across Australia.
The Position:
- Must have Functions and Restaurant experience
- Lead and inspire employees by setting a positive example.
- Supervision of kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met.
- Assist Head Chef with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for expected service.
- Provide training and education to staff to ensure our team are constantly upskilling.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned.
- Liaise with functions team (front & back of house) regarding allergens and dietary information. requirements
The Person:
- Trade qualified with a minimum 5 years of experience working in functions and events along with some fine dining.
- Well versed in HACCP and diligent in adhering to local regulations concerning health, safety and other compliance requirements.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, nights and public holidays
- Strong attention and respect for OH&S, Food Safety & HACCP regulations
