Certificate III Food and Beverage 24-month Traineeship – Indigenous Candidates

About the role:

This 24-month traineeship Certificate III in Food and Beverage, will be a gateway to a potential management role; learning all the skills needed to jump-start your career in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Working within a busy and vibrant team of up to 35 front of house staff members, your role will be to provide customers with a memorable experience.  Your tasks will include: 

  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Order taking and using front of house management systems
  • Assist with running functions and events
  • General cleaning, which includes clearing tables, equipment, and floors

Hours of work

Little Creatures is open 7 days a week from mid-morning to late at night.  Therefore, you will need to be available for a 7-day rotating roster which may include night and weekend shifts.

To be successful for this role you will:

  • Have a passion for the hospitality industry
  • Have a can-do attitude, be reliable and motivated to succeed
  • Have a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or willing to obtain one
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be committed to a program of on the job learning and formal training
  • Be able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Ideally have completed year 10
  • Have a commitment to attendance
  • Be able to get on with others and be a team-player
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate good planning and organisational skills
  • Have a strong safety awareness
  • Have the ability to complete and pass onboarding process which includes pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
