We are currently seeking experienced Care Workers to provide daily support to residents at our Bethanie Waters Aged Care Facility. Bethanie Waters 160 bed aged care facility offering a secure area for local residents located in Port Kennedy. This role is being offered on a casual basis. Shifts will consist of a variety of morning and afternoon.
You will support our residents to improve their quality of life by assisting with day-to-day activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is maintained while building positive and professional relationships with residents and team members.
Our Care Workers are an integral part of the care and support we provide to residents. Applicants with at least twelve months experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
The Role:
- Assess care plans and ensure residents’ needs are met
- Ensure services (including food, laundry, personal care, domestic and interest) are delivered in a timely and safe manner
- Deliver personal care tasks (including toileting and showering) with dignity and respect
- Ensure residents’ rooms and the facility environment is maintained to an appropriate standard
About You:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community)
- Previous experience working in an aged care or hospital environment would be an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team, and also independently
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Inc.
- Experience using ICare or similar computer package highly regarded
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations – annual flu and minimum three COVID-19 vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
