About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing strong, mutually beneficial relationships with customers in the building industry to achieve sales and volume targets within the South region’s defined geographic area/account base.
Your Duties
- Develop and execute territory/account sales plans
- Pursue and secure new accounts and business opportunities.
- Manage technical inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Build strong relationships by understanding customer needs and delivering value-based solutions with Builders and Estimators
- Create business plans for key customers.
- Follow up on leads from internal sales and estimating teams.
- Identify and capitalize on local market opportunities within the territory
- Resolve customer issues with a solution-focused approach and advocate for their needs within the business.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in a BDM role.
- Knowledge of the building/construction industry particularly in multi-residential construction and civil construction an advantage.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently.
- Proven expertise in initiating cold calls and building rapport with key decision-makers on construction sites.
- Skilled in managing a sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up to maximize sales opportunities and drive results.
